While in Barcelona, my “happy place” was Park Güell…full of sunshine and Gaudí’s interesting art… The Works of Antoni Gaudí made the UNESCO World Heritage Site list because of his exceptional creative contribution to the development of architecture and building technology in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
And in the evening, I loved watching the colorful light show at the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc!
Just off of Las Ramblas, I loved picking up fresh fruit and other tasty goodies at Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria.
So much to admire in Barcelona’s architecture and statues…
Perhaps I will return to Sagrada Familia in 25 years to see it in completion…
Seeing the city from atop Sagrada Familia!
