In the summer months, locals consider Buenos Aires to be a ghost town. Many people head to beaches in Brazil, Uruguay and in other parts of Argentina.

A popular beach, Mar del Plata, is over five hours by bus from Buenos Aires. I decided to soak in the sun at a beach a bit closer, Villa Gesell. This family friendly beach is a short walk from the bus station. The best part of the day was being surprised by a free beach concert!
